Ann Kirkpatrick, D-Ariz., and Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., facilitated a successful meeting today between senior Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials and Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu and Board of Supervisors Chairman Steve Miller. The county officials seek to renegotiate the terms of a Pinal County Jail contract that goes back to 2006.

On Friday, she wrapped up the week with a visit to the White Mountains region of Eastern Arizona, meeting with local leaders and constituents and touring a regional airport.

Ann Kirkpatrick, D-Ariz., is pleased to announce that the Department of Transportation has authorized a $35 million emergency relief grant for repairs to U.S. Highway 89, which suffered major damage after a portion of it collapsed in February. The grant will go to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
